Pretty nice work there man. Spriting might look like easy job, but it certainly isnt.
First thing that comes to mind when I look at these, is Soldat.

Especially when with the subject has a fair amount of detail - making an odd number of pixels look like textured gun metal can be quite a challenge.
And yeah, I did get a couple of comments on another art website - one even claiming that I ripped straight from Soldat.
The interesting thing is that I originally sprited these at twice the size they are now - but I needed them to be smaller (so that their size can fit in with the other sprites that I was working on)

Maybe a bit sharper? There are sharp parts and parts that look neglected, this is a serious issue of balance! I like shading and the glow by the way.

that red rock behind the horizon looked like a fist :D

other than that, now that i've shaped what it is i think its pretty nice, fast and simple, thought im still bit unaware of what it is actually is
